History

This shrine was built as Kōshō Inari Myōjin by the Fujita family (Fujita zaibatsu business conglomerate in Osaka) inside their residence in the Meiji era (1868-1912).

The Fujita family asked us to invite the deity to the shrine praying for their business prosperity.

Later, in the 1960s, the shrine was donated to us as guardianship of our temple and we enshrined it together with the Gotō Inari Myōjin which had previously been worshiped by us.

Kōshō: fortune / Inari: A deity of harvest and industry, attended by a pair of foxes as the messengers. in Buddhism, he is the incamation of Dakini-Ten(荼枳尼天). / Gotō: Five pagodas (towers) / Myōjin: An honorific title historically applied to Japanese deities and their shrines.
